The week after returning from Pans, I had to catch up with work from my 2 real jobs. But now that we are heading into the weekend, I am ready to get back into the kitchen and blog some recipes.
I’m most excited about figuring out a muffin or snack bite recipe using the leftover pulp after juicing. At Pans, I met one of the greatest female jiu jitsu competitors who posts a lot about the juice she makes. Inspired by that, I pulled out my juicer. I can’t discard the remains after the juice is produced…that’s a lot of fiber and other good stuff that I have to figure out how to use.
The other recipe I want to figure out is a chocolate sorbet. I got this idea at Pans from the Acai vendor – I ordered a dark chocolate bowl that had chocolate sorbet as the base. So, I’ve pulled out my ice cream Kitchen Aid attachments. This one may take awhile because if I mess up the first attempt, I have to refreeze the ice cream bowl.
I’ll also post some dishes from last week that I made between jobs and jiu jitsu.
