For the past 2 1/2 weeks I’ve been following a prescribed nutrition regimen that was designed for me and my schedule.

My purpose was to feel good and energetic when I get to jiu jitsu in the afternoons. I do strength training early in the morning, then go to my full time job, then to jiu jitsu. When I increased my a.m. strength training about 3 months ago, I began struggling to perform at an optimum level at my jiu jitsu evening classes…which is my main goal, to improve my jiu jitsu. Best money I have ever spent is with Dr. Derek Wilcox and Renaissance Periodization https://renaissanceperiodization.com/product-category/coaching/. I wasn’t seeking body composition improvements or weight loss, but both those have been a by-product. Timing of meals and the components of each meal have been the focus of my program. . I have not been hungry at all (and at times have been like, “I can’t eat all this.”). I have never been happier with my level of energy, mood, and sleep quality. And…changes in my body composition.

Date Waist Hip
4-Jan 30.5 39.5
6-Jan 29.2 38.7
9-Jan 28.5 38.5
11-Jan 28.5 38.3
13-Jan 28.3 38.3
16-Jan 28.3 38.3
18-Jan 28.3 38.3
20-Jan 28.1 38.3

I’ll repost my progress in 2 weeks. If possible, I would like to get to lightweight without sacrificing performance in training. I’m only 4 pounds off so if I continue on the same trajectory, I’ll be there in 3 or fewer weeks.
